2. Side Effects of Medications
Sometimes we encounter side effects that seem minor, such as a headache, a weird rash, or a bit of dizziness. These side effects might not seem to disrupt your life, and you may pacify yourself by thinking the side effect is temporary or can’t make that much of a difference. We’re all aware of the real danger of identity theft, but in the moment, giving out your credit card information over the phone just seems so much faster and easier than alternatives. However, this is a very insecure way to transfer information, and identity theft can be as easy as a stranger overhearing your conversation. Always use secure means to share your information, and be wary of merchants who request sensitive information over the phone.
5. Wet Towels on the Floor
After a trip to the pool, or even after bath time, many toss their towels on the floor and forget about them. This can not only cause damage to your flooring but may encourage harmful mold to grow. Mold thrives in damp areas, aggravates allergies, and can become toxic for everyone. Always be sure to toss damp towels in the washing machine instead of on the floor.
6. House Security While on Vacation
When you leave town, you want your house to be safe from the outside with reliable locks and maybe even an alarm system. But you must also secure the inside of your home with adequate preparation, so you don’t return home to a mess or disaster. To prevent leakage, flooding, or sparks, unplug small appliances and turn off the water valves to water appliances.
